Our Story

You might say we are obsessed with making sheets. Our extended family has been manufacturing in the USA for over 115 years in Thomaston, a wonderful town in middle Georgia, despite the fact that most of our competitors have moved all their production overseas. Per the Bureau of Labor Statistics, between 1990 and 2016 there were a total of 516,000 jobs lost in the textile industry. We don't have to bring jobs back to the USA, since ours never left!

Thomaston Mills was started in 1899 by the Hightower family and sold to my family, the Zaslow family in 2001. As a family business we were taught that trust, integrity and kindness are the most important business values and we apply those principles every day.

Today, with the renewed interest in Made in the USA products, we decided to reintroduce American Blossom, a brand that Thomaston Mills made back in the 1940's. We cut out the retail locations and are bringing the linens to you, online only.  Now you can buy well made luxury bedding at a very fair price directly from the manufacturer.

We want to introduce you to the fabulous craftsmen that have been making linens for many years in America the old fashioned way. The quality of your sheets is only as good as the craftsmanship of the people who make them. We're proud and lucky to work with the best in the business. When you invest in American Blossom, you are supporting sustainable agricultural practices, a reinvigoration of the once thriving textile industry, local supply chains and your fellow Americans. When you choose American Blossom, you choose American quality, farm to bed!

My name is Janet and I am one of the owners of Thomaston Mills, manufacturer of American Blossom Linens. Since I was 4 years old, I have been involved with the family business started by my grandfather. I learned from the ground up about the textile industry from manufacturing to marketing and even sweeping the floor. We brought back American Blossom because we perceive people are looking for sustainable products, impeccably made in the USA by your friends and neighbors, products that will last and last and never go out of style. Welcome to our family and we look forward to serving you. Feel free to contact me. I love to chat.
