Giving Back

Manufacturers Education Foundation (MEF), a trade affiliate of the Georgia Association of Manufacturers (GAM) Students walking and studying.

What could be more important than the investment we make in people? That is why a part of every one of your purchases goes to training the next generation of the manufacturing workforce. Thank you for helping us make a difference.

Our extended family has been manufacturing in the USA for over 115 years and has the privilege of working with the best. The National Association of Manufacturers reports that manufacturers contributed $2.33 trillion to the U.S economy in the first quarter of 2018. There are currently 12.75 million manufacturing workers in the United States with 406,000 right here in Georgia. The vast majority of the 251,774 manufacturing firms in the United States are small, with 20 or fewer employees (Source: Bureau of Labor Statistics and US Census Bureau). Over the next decade an estimated 2 million of the nearly 3.5 million manufacturing jobs will likely go unfilled due to the “skills gap”.

Now it is our turn to give back and help the future workforce develop their skills. A portion of each purchase you make will be given to the Manufacturers Education Foundation (MEF), an affiliate of the Georgia Association of Manufacturers (GAM), a trade organization which has advocated in support of the State’s manufacturers for 118 years. Since its inception in 1943, GAM’s MEF has provided  scholarships for students pursuing programs of study leading to a career in manufacturing, through agreements with select Georgia universities and technical colleges.
